Shooting Percentages Remain the SAME

Several things:

Free throw shooting has not increased over the last 60 years.

Field goal shooting has increased 12%. This is because the game is now played above the rim with many more dunks.

A majority of players cannot make over 50% of their 3-point shots.

Several solutions from nationally recognized coaches:

Spend more time in the gym shooting competitively.

Shoot with a purpose – which shots do you shoot in a game, shots at game speed, shots when you’re tired.

Have teammates and/or coaches watch your form – it must be consistent.

Use a proven shooting device to perfect your form.

Participate in effective shooting drills.
